Easter weekend

Here's some of what's happening:

  • We all have a 4-day weekend.
  • We all did stations of the cross at the Catholic student center on Good Friday.
  • We are having idyllic Easter weather--bright, cool, a little breezy.
  • This morning our friends/neighbors came over and we cracked open a new Crayola sidewalk paint kit, and my friend's older kids and T painted and chalked up the patio cement, did bubbles (the baby liked the bubbles!), pulled the baby around in a wagon and did a little bit of sand and water play. And then D played Minecraft with my friend's oldest and C supervised T and my friend's middle playing Skylanders.
  • It's still Holy Saturday and we have a bunch of this and that to do getting ready for Easter, plus normal household maintenance stuff.

Here's some of what's going on:

--C went to prom with a nice boy who also loves anime.
--Lots of travel arrangements.
--C and D went to Junior Classical League regionals in Austin.
--D finished up track. 8th grade has a lot more competitions than the earlier grades--it's suddenly a lot more serious.
--D is almost as tall as me now.
--T is almost 4 feet tall. She's probably about 47 inches right now.
--C did a choir competition yesterday.
--I finally pulled out T's nail polish and did her fingernails and toenails. She loved it.
--I'm talking to my siblings about a trip to Disneyland in 2021.
--Husband did Snap Circuits with T yesterday. She was really good. They did the activity where you get it to beep "Happy Birthday."
--D cleared ivy off a tree and vacuumed the car yesterday and was duly compensated.
--D is experimenting with growing snap peas.
--C has finished her Star Wars ukulele book and is starting to work with her teacher on converting her LOTR piano music book into sheet music for ukulele.
